All about Gordon Valentine's John O'Groats to Land's End (JOGLE) cycle
We have just sent off for more cycling gear for the End to End cycle, which is now less than 2 weeks away!
We have just sorted out the helmets, that we will wearing while doing the cycle. We are getting “Las Victory Helmets” from Wiggle.
So far have just sent off for one, to see what it’s like. If we like it, we will send for another one.
I think that I have sorted out the pannier rack problem, after e-mailing lots of different on-line shops and posting to the Cycling Weekly forums. It turns out that 29″ tyres are the same as 700c, why they have two names, I have no idea. So thanks to everyone that helped sort it out for me!
I would like to say a big thank-you to the two on-line shops that did get back to me. Them being Chain Reaction Cycles and Wiggle. I am also a wee bit pissed off that the Edinburgh Bicycle Cooperative, did not get back to me, after spending so much money on a new bike from them.
It looks like I will be getting “LifeLine Alloy Disc Brake Rear Rack” from Wiggle.
We now have a Garmin Edge 705 GPS, which we got from Wiggle, which cost us £323.99. We went for the Garmin Edge 705 MTB Performance Package, which comes with GB mapping for OS/Road content for Great Britain and also a Heart rate monitor chest strap.
